Our work continues and you can be a part of this through assisting us in acquiring land and resources for our continued work as Grassroots Developers. Smithfield and the Western Area of Birmingham, Alabama now face gentrification as a part of its developer driven economy. As we try to preserve the historicity of Smithfield a key geography in the Civil Rights struggle we also work to prevent displacement driven by development….ask how you can assist.
