The struggle for Black owned businesses is real. There are over 2,000,000 Black owned businesses in the US, and many often go without comparable access to capital that majority owned businesses have. The Modern Green Book Foundation hopes to bridge that gap by providing grants, programming, and experiences for entrepreneurs and their communities.

TheMGB Foundation is raising $25,000.00 throughout 2024! Your support will help us positively impact the Black Business and Creative community through funding, education, and development. Together, we can build a legacy that supports, uplifts, and celebrates these brands.

Grants

The Road to Success Small Black Business Grant

Our grant was established to help Black Owned Businesses and Creatives. The money given is to help with projects, day-to-day operations, and startup capital. One grant will be given out per quarter beginning in 2024

Eligibility & Criteria:

- Business must be a listed business with The Modern Green Book.
- Applicant must be 18 years or older.
- Your business has made less than $500K in revenue since starting.
- Must be a resident of the U.S.
- The application is a written Q&A and a 60-90 sec video pitch.
- If the applicant has a business plan, we strongly encourage you to include it.
- The Review process begins the 1st Monday of the last month of each quarter
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout year-round.
  - The more we raise, the more we can give!
- The Grant Cycle will begin in January 2024, all applications submitted prior to 2024 will still be considered through the 2024 year.

Programming & Experiences

Each of our events aims to support, uplift, and celebrate Black Brands. For any ticketed event or event with a fee, the net profit from that event will go towards building the grant fund up, so the more you attend, the more we can give!
